American Cara-Pils Malt
a.k.a. Dextrin malt
1.2° - 1.7° lovibond, Briess Malting
This grain is used to increase body, mouth feel, and malty sweetness
while improving head retention. Kilning temperatures are lower than those of crystal malt,
minimizing color and flavor development.
For light colored beer, use 5 - 20%.
For dark colored beer, use 2 - 10%.
