Our English Brown Ale is lightly hopped, with a warm, malty character and smoothness of palate. It is medium to full bodied, with caramel overtones and a slight butterscotch (diacetyl) richness. Low to medium carbonation and head retention will not prohibit hearty quaffing of this medium brown beer. The nose exhibits a malty character, shared with traditional English hops. The alcohol content is slightly higher than that of a Mild Ale.

First time rookie here. Finally got a chance to taste. Absolutely fantastic! The team at South Blvd helped with all my long list of items. I never write reviews! Really! But I had to this time. Even the wifey loved this kit which is hard to believe. Anyway the Alternative Bev.. team was very professional and helpful even with a first timer here. I can't believe how easy this kit worked out. I have to admit I expected my beer to not be good and my new hobby to be over.
