Saison 3gal 1.052 O.G. extract wort, direct-pitched 1 puffed pouch 3711 (and 1 servomyces capsule), left alone at 68degF ambient.
A week later it's down to 1.005 and still working, dry-hopping now. I've seen reports of 3711 dipping under 1.000.
Aroma is amazing. Attenuation and vigor are amazing. As one long forum thread on it states, it is a beast. SG sample was delicious - flat and room temp - can't wait to enjoy finished.
Highly recommend for Saison, would be a good secondary pitch for a stuck Belgian ferm too. (just prepare for it to ferment EVERYTHING)
DOESN'T NEED HIGH TEMPS. It really IS happy with 67-70 ambient. You can warm it to the mid/upper-70s for more fruit, supposedly.
