Alternative Beverage is proud to join BrickTree Brewing in hosting the 2nd Annual Apple Crush on Saturday October 16th. The Annual Lincoln Counties Apple festival was unfortunately cancelled again this year due to COVID-19.
The outdoor festivities begin at Noon and will consist of Apple Crush display and Cider making education with stationed juice sales and pick-up.
Due to a late frost & freeze in the spring, some orchards lost as much as 85% of their anticipated harvest and the prices of apples more than doubled from last year. The area effected was foothills around Lincolnton to Hendersonville. We are lucky to have found enough apples to sell at a reasonable price of $7 per gallon. Some orchards are selling juice at $10 per gallon.
