Alternative Beverage is proud to join BrickTree Brewing Company in hosting the 3rd Apple Crush on Saturday October 15th as apart of the Annual Lincoln Counties Apple festival.
Alternative Beverage will be bringing in 4 bins of locally sourced apples that will be crushed and pressed on site from Davis Orchard's right in Lincoln county. The blend of apple varieties will yield a rich, fresh flavor that will be hard to match. Each year we try to find the perfect blend of 2 sweet varieties and 1 tart variety of apples however, we are restricted due to the high demand for apples this year. We will be selecting the blend as we get closer to the event from Gala, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Gold Rush, Red Delicious, Red Rome and Fuji creating a delicious blend for making a hard cider or simply enjoyable as freshly pressed juice.
Pre-ordering will guarantee your price as well as the availability. Prices do not include containers. Plastic carboys, gallon jugs and pails will be available for purchase but you are encouraged to bring your own for additional savings. FREE ADDITIVES & instructions will be available. We will also have additional additives for purchase.
Pre-Order Cider for this event at the bottom of this page and get a 20% Pre-Order discount up until Oct 12th. We hope to have extra cider available at the event.
If you are ordering juice for the first time, it is best to plan on making either 6 gallons in order to end up with a full 5-gallon carboy or 4 gallons to end up with a full 3 gallon batch. Apples and apple juice tend to oxidize quickly, illustrated by a browning of the fruit or browning of the juice; therefore, maintaining FULL carboys in the final stage are highly highly recommended.
This is a Rain or Shine event. Attendees wanting to pick up cider will be processed starting at Noon and end at 5pm or until we run out of Apples! The events at Bricktree & other local businesses will continue until 10pm so come out. When you arrive, find our registration table and we’ll guide you through the process of filling your containers.
If you can help with the crushing we will give you apple or juice for your personal use. We will need about 4-5 people to help with the apple crush, so if you are interested contact us ASAP.
