Use as base malt or high percentage specialty malt. Superb example of this classic malt. Less sweet than Pale Ale Malt. Offers complexity and depth with a toasted note at the finish. Typically used in Vienna, Oktoberfest and Marzen beers. Use in any beer for rich malty flavor.
The enzymes are sufficient to support the addition of high amounts of Specialty Malts and Adjuncts.
Flavor: rich malty flavor
Use: Pilsner beer, use 10 - 30% Vienna Malt for color and malty flavor.
Use: light-colored amber beers, use 60 - 90% Vienna Malt along with a percentage of Crystal Malt.
Use: amber-colored amber beers, use 70 - 80% Vienna Malt along with a percentage of Crystal Malt.
